How to get Chrome extensions working on a Mac

Google today announced the beta version of Google Chrome for Mac and Linux along with the launch of Google Chrome Extensions gallery.

However, unlike Linux and Windows version of Chrome, the Mac version does not have support for Chrome extensions yet.

Thankfully DotSpots founder Matt Mastracci and a blogger over at Grack.com have come to the rescue. Although not officially supported, the duo have come up with a quick and easy way to get Chrome extensions working on a mac.

Their instructions:

Try it out on the DotSpots extension page here. Click the bookmarklet and the Install button will be activated.

You need to use the development version of Chromium on Mac for this to work. You can grab the latest release here (scroll to the bottom).
