If the goal was to pick off the dollars that customers currently allocated towards pay-channels; namely, HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc. it might work if for no other reason than when Tablet comes out you could have a TV anywhere offering to view same content on iPhone, Tablet, Desktop and Apple TV for one price.

I do agree with others, though, that it sets up somewhat of an ALL-or-NONE as to whether same price includes Movies/TV and Music.

Some fodder on this one in my post:

Apple, TV and the Smart, Connected Living Room

Check it out, if interested.

[...] While Michael Bryant at The Next Web points out that network executives might be a tad reluctant to walk down the same path that the music industry has with Apple this would be a big win for the consumer and in the end it could be a win for the networks. [...]

If it goes internationally and available for my country. I would definitely give up from downloading torrents and buy subscription from iTunes.

I think global availability would be a great idea for them, given the fact that the way it stands now, people are just using other than legal means to get the shows they want. With a legal option available, given that the pricing isn't ridiculously high, I think it would give publishers an opportunity to cash in on market share they are already missing. Some money > no money, right?
