According to Apple blog Macenstein, reliable sources have confirmed Snow Leopard will be released next Friday, a week from today. How reliable these sources are is anyone’s guess, but Mac Rumors and Gizmodo are both reporting the same date.
Comments from users who decided to install the final developers build have been generally positive. All stating there are few obvious visual enhancements but an unquestionable “feeling” that a great deal of work has been done behind the scenes to improve the OS reliability and snappiness.
The final build of the OS has been leaked on Torrent sites already, but considering the security issues and the fact that it will be available for a mere $29 next week – why bother?
Here are two videos introducing you to the new upgrade. The first a video demonstrating the installation process and the second, a tour of the OS.
