Ok, oddly enough the rest of your page loaded and I was able to read your take on live blogging. Sounds like twitter, and iming, and the wall on facebook, and whatever the same feature was called on myspace. Quick little blurps..that doesn't seem like blogging to me. It takes less time, less thought, etc.

Blogger has the ability to have a group blog, many group type blogs with multiple authors, so that concept isn't new.

This seems to be going backward to me. Having a blog with comments turned off is not a blog, a blog is interactive; with no ability for comments it's now a webpage to my way of thinking.

Going to the point of having to register, be a friend in order to leave comments, is where blogs began and thankfully most have gotten past that so you can blog with people using a different format...multiple, wordpress, blogger etc.

When I've happened upon a blog with no ability to leave comments it frustrates me. I will add it's often people who want to put their brand of politics out there with any real discussion or means of rebuttal...seesm cowardice to me.

I make a point not to visit those blogs again, why give them traffic when it's clear they have no intend to interact or return the traffic to your blog?

Now all we need is a decent iPhone client (BuddyFeed is a good start but the author seems to no longer work on it) and maybe TweetDeck integration. Add a bit of customization options for your profile and FriendFeed would outperform Twitter in many ways.

At least for me.
