While you cannot improve encoding time without replacing the actual encoder, in grid computing you can always improve priority, order of actions, queues, thread distributions etc.. So, stop whining and enjoy not having to wait for 1h to have your 10 minutes HD clip up and running. That’s been happening more lately since they are improving Youtube’s processing algorithms.
