A few years ago I had a meeting with a guy from China. I had a businesscard in my pocket and as I saw him approach me I remembered that Chinese people present their card with two hands holding the card between their finger and then study it before putting it in their pocket. So I tok the card out of my pocket and handed it over to him. I was proud that I remembered the procedure in time! But then he started laughing. I looked up from his card and he showed me that I handed him my card upside down. he thought this was hilarious. :-)

Context is crucial... Culture context is hard to predict if it's not your culture, isn't it?

Great post!
