Don’t Download Windows 7, for free, now!

Yes, you heard it right. Windows 7 is available as a free download from this url. Of course we wouldn’t advise you to download it as it is illegal to do so. The only thing you will need, if you feel ballsy, is a BitTorrent client and some patience. Oh, and it might be smart to install this on a separate PC and not your main PC as this is just a pre-release version of Windows 7 which was distributed at a Professional Developers Conference last week. Still, it would be cool to have it before 99.99% of the rest of the world. So don’t go and get it but do let us know how it works out for you if you do…

It’s not a good idea to download it, since this version doesn’t have the new taskbar which is for the moment the most important new feature !

It runs fine on VMware. But the ‘new’ features are limited to ribbons in Paint and Wordpad – nothing too exciting. IE8 betas are available for XP and Vista as well.

http://www.virtualbox.org You can install any OS (except Mac OS I believe) to a virtual machine and nothing can touch your main [host] machine.

There is “NO” best OS. DOS and NT4 were rock solid but weren’t “pretty.” XPSP3 is good overall but isn’t as pretty as Vista and requires “some” knowledge to get things done. Vista is pretty and easy to use for a beginner but prevents an experienced user from doing many things and as we all know requires a lot of resources. OSX doesn’t have the software that Windows has. Same issue with Linux. Nobody is perfect and don’t say that you are. Perfection can’t be improved and never makes mistakes. If you say that you’re perfect than you just made your first.

Completely agree, I use OSX for day to day functions, but require windows for many Cad, modeling programs. XPx64 SP3 was the nest windows in my book.

Guys… U should understand that there is no actual windows 7 that is working for ever now…. The current released version is Beta and it’s only released for public just for windows to take notes from people who has used it for a while… note that It will be expired in beginning of august.

Testing out Windows 7 takes time – all you suckers that test it out are not being reimbursed or paid for your time. This is the goal of Microsoft – to use you poor sods for your time, without paying you a cent. Then comes the expiry date and your nice computer expires and the computer starts resetting without your permission. You are punished for giving your hard earned time away. Great reward!
