Better to compare it with learning Russian. If you start as an adult you'll never be fluent, so 3x faster input than talking is not going to happen. Additionally, I really doubt whether gesture recognition is easier than voice recognition. Personally I'm hoping for a neural-to-computer interface somewhere during my lifetime.
