Sellaband is very interesting as it splits all the profits equally between artists/investors/label. They have the business model and music industry contacts, and the community, but Amazon is a great partnership as they really ramp up the promotion and marketing... which is what was needed. No point having the greatest album in the world if no-one knows about it. Another site mentioned that Amazon may even (theoretically) be interested in buying out Sellaband... which may be an even better merging of expertise. Great article!
