Sometimes the best ideas are the obvious ones. Around the water cooler here at TNW, we’ve talked before about doing recap posts from the past day, the past 12 hours or what have you. Not only is it a great chance for our 24-hour operation to stay on top of what we’ve already covered, it’s also valuable to our readers for an at-a-glance reference.
Many times, though, people don’t have the option to stop and read a post. We here at TNW understand that, even if getting eyes to the page is the lifeblood of our business. What could we do, then, to provide an easier way to keep up with the tech stories from the past day, for our readers around the world? A podcast, of course!
Unlike our normal TNW Podcast, The Daily Dose is a short-form, easily digestible audio bit that will run down the top headlines of the past 24 hours in 5 minutes or less. There’s no in-depth discussion or fluff involved, just a headline, a short explanation and then on to the next.
You’ll find The Daily Dose published Monday through Friday right here on The Next Web. We’re hosting it via SoundCloud, because we honestly think that it’s the best way to make the audio readily available. Of course you can subscribe to The Daily Dose via iTunes and have it loaded to your player of choice daily. There’s also an RSS subscription to the SoundCloud feed itself, if you so choose.
Most importantly, The Daily Dose is your podcast. Once you give a listen, then click the links to read the stories on TNW, let us know what you think. If we’re not covering the stories on TNW that you’d like to have heard about, drop us a line and let us know. The Daily Dose is a service, provided for you, and we want you to get the most out of it that you can.
