The Microsoft Bizspark Startup Rally at The Next Web Conference Europe never disappoints. It’s a unique opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs to prove to expert judges and delegates alike why their new product is about to take the technology industry by storm.
This year’s selection was stronger than ever, but in the first round one startup stood out a little more than the rest. Swipe is a simple and beautiful Web app that launched at the conference as a two-way, interactive presentation tool.
The drag-and-drop media browser and simple link sharing for live, real-time presentations won the support and respect of Mark Voermans, an emerging business manager at Microsoft who also on the judging panel.
“They did a great job,” he said. Great pitch and I think we all loved their model and what they’re doing.”
TNW caught up with Voermans and Swipe co-founder Horia Cernusca to find out how the team is improving upon the current slew of presentation tools, as well as what’s next for the company.
