Amazon expands its Prime Now 1-hour delivery service to Los Angeles

Amazon has announced that it’s bringing its Prime Now on-demand service to Los Angeles, promising deliveries from its site as well as local outlets to residents within one hour.

The program will now serve users in LA and Orange County areas like Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Silver Lake and Irvine.

In addition to its online catalog spanning thousands of products, Amazon will soon begin to fulfill orders from LA stores like Sprouts Farmers Market, Bristol Farms, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Fresh & Easy, Erewhon Organic Grocer and 99 Ranch Market.

Prime members who have signed up for the $99 annual plan will receive two-hour deliveries for free, with one-hour orders costing an extra $7.99.
