Quickly, long time investor  John Doerr is stepping down from the Amazon board, as he will not stand for re-election for membership.

John Doerr informed Amazon.com, Inc. (the “Company”) that he would not stand for re-election at the Company’s 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

The company loses an amazingly famous VC, who was dubbed to have a “midas touch,” by Forbes Magazine. At this moment, there is no clear candidate for his replacement. Mr. Doerr is affiliated with Keliener Perkins, Caufield, and Byers.
