Yorkshire Duo nominated for MacWorld Best App Award

Yorkshire Duo nominated for MacWorld Best App Award

Tomorrow is the second day of the  Macworld Expo in San Francisco, and the awards for best Apps. Included in the nominations is an awesome app from Yorkshire based Appily Ever After.

A charming depiction of Little Red Riding Hood this app offers three ways to interact. The story can be read to you, you can read it yourself or you can colour in. The pages can be turned like a real book with wonderful hand drawn illustrations.

The app was developed for Appily Ever After by Yorkshire-based illustrator Simone Abel and writer Justine Gaunt who had the idea after trying to entertain a young child on a long train journey. The pair, who have extensive experience in traditional publishing formed Appily Ever After to publish this, their first app.

Searching for ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ on the app store will find plenty of takes on the book but this has to be the most unique and charming to date. We wish the pair every success at the awards.
