Some iOS users can now test out ‘experimental’ Twitter features

For a long while, Twitter users on Android devices have been able to opt-in to its ‘experiments’ program that delivers new features before they become (or indeed, do not become) a part of the main app.

Now it seems some iOS users can do the same, according to TechCrunch. A Twitter spokesperson confirmed to TNW that the company has indeed just launched an “iOS Experiments Program.”

Users have apparently been seeing a pop-up message inviting them to the ‘Twitter for iOS Experiments Program’. Of course, if you do want to use it, you’ll have to agree to additional terms – such as not disclosing the contents of the app or specifics of new features.

Unfortunately, even if you are keen to test out the experimental version of the app and are happy to keep quiet about it, there’s still no way of requesting an invite onto the program – either you’ll see an invitation or not.
