Twitter adds 70 new locations to Trends

Twitter today added another 70 locations to Local Trends, a subset of the service’s trend tracking service that gives users a view of what’s popular in their area at the time. Twitter doesn’t provide a list of the new locations, but you can go and find out if yours is one of them by clicking ‘change’ next to the word Worldwide in the Trends section of your Twitter sidebar, as seen below.
