Skype Access: Worldwide WiFi, free all weekend

Skype Access: Worldwide WiFi, free all weekend

Many people either haven’t used or simply don’t know about that “other” Skype product, known as Skype Access. Skype Access is a network of wireless hotspots that are meant to be paid for by the minute, using your Skype Credit.

This weekend, you can use Skype Access for the low, low price of…well, free.

According to the Skype Blog, all day Saturday and Sunday (by GMT) you’ll be able to log in to any of the 200,000 worldwide WiFi hotspots supported by Skype Access and surf to your heart’s content.

It’s a great way to try out the service, and also an “ah-hah” moment for Skype to get the word out to the world about Skype Access.
