Facebook improves “Notes” feature, adds friends and Pages tagging

Facebook improves “Notes” feature, adds friends and Pages tagging

Facebook has drastically improved its Notes feature, taking out the need for HTML and making it work more like a word processor.

Beyond adding standard text editing formatting (bold, italics, bullet points, etc) Facebook has also integrated its tagging capability into Notes. So now you can tag a note for friends or for Pages. It’ll be interesting to see how people will apply these tags and how they will use Notes going forward, as obviously, Facebook’s idea is to make Notes much more social.

According the post on the Facebook Blog,

“When viewing Notes from a Facebook Page, you can browse notes in which that Page has been tagged by one of your friends or by people who shared their note with “everyone.””

Furthering the social aspect, Facebook is also making Notes easier to find as well as organize with this update, with a new left-hand menu.
