YouTube Rolls Out New “Recommended For You” Toolbar

YouTube Rolls Out New “Recommended For You” Toolbar

Popular video sharing portal YouTube has rolled out a new feature to some of its users, adding a tool that allows them to see videos recommended for them at a glance using a neatly placed toolbar at the bottom of the page.

Google has yet to officially announce its new tool and at the moment the only way to access the toolbar is to visit the YouTube front page and click on one of the videos that YouTube recommends. Once this video has loaded, the toolbar will load and auto-populates videos for the user to queue, autoplay or shuffle.

For those who do not have this feature enabled, it is embedded below for you to view (click for bigger):

This feature, coupled with the integration of a new “End Of Video Screen” is an undoubted attempt by YouTube to increase user interaction and increase its number of video views.

With embedded adverts, links to buy featured music tracks and donation options, Google will be increasing its ad revenue whilst serving the very videos people really want to watch.
