Twitter’s Earlybird tweets its first international deal

Twitter’s @earlybird account has been tweeting money-saving offers for Americans for nearly a month while those of us outside Uncle Sam’s 50 states have had to look on enviously.

Today that’s changed with a deal that just about anyone can take advantage of as it’s not exclusive to a US retailer. Earlybird is offering 50% off the highly-acclaimed Pulse newsreader app for iOS and Android.

A good deal? Definitely, although how it’s an “Earlybird exclusive” as suggested we’re not sure. Anyone who goes to the iTunes store or Android Market should see the app described as an “Earlybird exclusive” price. It doesn’t look like you specifically have to find the deal via Twitter and follow a link from a tweet.

Still, it’s the first deal promoted by @Earlybird that everyone in the world (well, everyone with access to an iTunes store or Android Market that sells paid apps) can easily take advantage of. That’s definitely, as Twitter states in its tweet, “#newsworthy”.
