Windows maniac installs all major upgrades from the last 36 years in one go

A few years ago, I made the switch from Windows to macOS. For the most part,  I haven’t looked back, but I do often reminisce about my early-fascinating with computers, all thanks to Windows 95 and the iconic video game Doom

Though I have now comfortably settled into the whole Mac ecosystem, the progress Microsoft’s operating system has made over the last four decades is nothing short of impressive – and one devoted Windows enthusiast has decided to put all of this in a video.

Following up on his clip from 2011, YouTuber TheRasteri has released a new video in which you can watch him install all major upgrades of the popular operating system released since its early beginning in the 1980’s, going all the way back to MS DOS 3.10 and continuing to the latest Windows 10.

As the zealous YouTuber explains on his blog, the initial experiment took him a little over three days to complete – though the final version of video is only about 10 minutes long.

Watch over thirty years of computer history flash in front of your eyes in the video section above. And in case you happen to be an Apple fanboy, check out this awesome timelapse that shows how Apple’s visual identity has changed over the last 20 years.
