Back in the day, when computers didn’t have graphical interfaces yet, people had to come up with creative ways to display pictures on their screens. That turned out to be ASCII art.
By using the letters and symbols they had available, early computer users were able to create crude images of anything they wanted.
Then bitmaps came along, and we were suddenly able to display pictures made up by pixels. ASCII art wasn’t needed anymore.
But that doesn’t mean it can’t be pretty. ASCII Prints has curated some of the finest examples and put them on beautiful posters.
There priced might be on the high side, but the prints seem like a fun gift for geeky design lovers.
But if you couldn’t care less about the price point, there’s also a ‘Rich Kids of ASCII’ poster with an image of a hundred dollar bill. It costs, you’ve guessed it, $100.
