Partially, anyway. Microsoft is basically running an emulator on the Xbox One, so not all games are compatible yet as the company needs to assure they work 100 percent reliably.
Up until now, Microsoft had only revealed a few titles to expect, but now we have the full list of 104 Xbox 360 games available when the new Windows 10 experience arrives Thursday.
Some notables include ‘Fallout 3,’ all of ‘Gears of War,’ ‘Borderlands,’ and ‘Mass Effect.’
Then there are some classic titles already ported from older systems like ‘Banjo-Kazooie’ and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ (no, not that one *shudders*). One would hope the Xbox One is powerful enough to emulate games from the 90s.
It’s a decent selection of titles, and though it’s missing some obvious classics like Halo Reach and Bioshock 1 and 2; Microsoft says these are on the way soon.
In fact, the company says “this is just the beginning of a long list of Xbox 360 games,” and that it will announce more compatible titles regularly starting December.
