Watch people control a real-life first-person shooter on Chatroulette

Video game graphics have improved a lot over the years, but if you want a truly immersive experience, head to Chatroulette and pray you get a chance to play Realm Pictures’ real life first-person shooter.

The UK-based production studio took to the random-stranger video chat platform (as well as Omegle and Skype) and allowed willing participants to control a character in real-time with voice commands, in a zombie-ridden adventure that kicks off in an abandoned church.

There’s even an epic boss battle at 6:42!

To give the video stream a more authentic look and feel, the team overlaid a heads-up display that showed players how much health their character had left. If you want to delve even deeper into the action, check out this behind-the-scenes reel.
