REM’s ‘Imitation of Life’ video was Vine 12 years ahead of time

Vine made short, looping videos into a mass art form, but most people don’t realize that REM were ahead of the game. The band’s 2001 video for ‘Imitation of Life’ used just 20 seconds of repeating footage.
