If only we could buy this pizza-ordering clock

If only we could buy this pizza-ordering clock

Today, I found something dreams are made of – the PizzaTime clock.

This is no ordinary clock though. Sure, it tells the time and has an alarm, but it also orders you pizza from Dominos.

The clock was developed by Artefact, a technology product design company, as part of the Intel “Internet of Things” Roadshow. It connects to the Domino’s Pizza Tracker API to let you place and track your order.

The Roadshow hosts developers, students and hackers who present products that have been built using the Intel IoT developer kit which consists of a small development board with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low-Energy.

The clock lets you choose between a cheese or pepperoni pizza by turning the dial.

Then you can place your order by pushing down on the dial and the clock’s screen confirms your order.

The clock connects to the Dominos pizza tracker and will update you on the progress of your order and when it’s on the way.

The clock itself isn’t available to buy (yet), but one can dream. There are details over on GitHub about how to create your own pizza-ordering machine of dreams.

Now, who’s hungry?
