Now you can sit back and let IFTTT find the hottest cat GIFs on the web for you

If you’re into GIFs then IFTTT‘s newest announcement is tailor made for you.

IFTTT, the company that “puts the internet to work for you” using a series of alerts and automations, just added support for GIF database Giphy to its service.

That means you can now use it to alert you to trending GIFs, autopost GIFs to Tumblr/Twitter/Facebook, etc. The company’s blog lists a few examples but, as anyone who has ever used IFTTT before knows, the combinations are near-endless if you plug other services into your IFTTT account.
