The problem with most smartwatches and wearables is that they’re not exactly stylish. Plus, unless you have a large wrist, they look huge and garish.
Intel and Opening Ceremony have teamed up to make wearables something women will actually want to wear with the stylish MICA (My Intelligent Communication Accessory). Well, stylish is subjective. Designed by Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the bracelet is a ” feminine fashion accessory with communications capabilities,” according to a joint release from Intel and Opening Ceremony.
The bracelet features messaging and doesn’t need a smartphone because it has its own 3G radio inside. Additional details will be released soon and that MICA will be available at Barney’s and Opening Ceremony stores “by holiday” 2014.
