YouTube adds real-time analytics with minute-by-minute view counts for videos

YouTube adds real-time analytics with minute-by-minute view counts for videos

YouTube has added new real-time reporting to its analytics dashboard that provides view counts down to the minute for your videos.

By default, the new dashboard section shows your last five published videos, but you can search for older videos. The interface has two graphs: hour-by-hour data for the last 48 hours and minute-by-minute figures for the past hour.

The page auto-refreshes while you have it open. Google says you’ll still have a bit of latency for the reports, but that’s darn close to real-time. YouTube creators have been asking for more immediate data, and Google has plans to release additional real-time features in the future.

The new report is available for channels, groups with less than five videos and content owners. Filtering and other customization options are disabled for the feature.
