Android Pay can now replace your credit card for in-app payments

Android Pay may be most known for its contactless NFC payments, but it will soon get another useful trick: in-app payments.

Starting today, you can use Android Pay for buying items and content within your apps. That means instead of looking around your house for your credit card or bank account information, you can just tap on the Android Pay button instead.

It seems like the a simpler and more elegant solution, though the sheer ease of use might raise some concern about children or others accidentally making too many purchases.

Unfortunately, apps will have to incorporate the feature before you can start using it, but there are already a few partners signed up, including Lyft, Instacart, Fancy and more.

Google says we should expect the list to grow substantially in the next few months. Interested developers can add Android Pay to their apps by visiting the Android Pay API site.
