Think your smartphone’s homescreen is unique? Check out some of these.

With smartphones becoming ubiquitous, no two are exactly alike — especially with how easy it is to customise your Android, iPhone or Windows Phone with wallpapers and different applications and widgets (on some devices).

As part of its look back on 2011, MyColorscreen — a website that allows users to upload and share their smartphone and tablet homescreens — has posted its top 10 homescreens of the year, either confirming your mobile device customisations rock or showing you how woefully inadequate yours looks in comparison to some of its users.

Unsurprisingly, the top 10 is dominated completely by Android handsets, thanks to its ease and scope of customisation. Our favourite is the Marvel VS Capcom design, but all ten are by no means ugly:
