Android 2.2 Updates Start Making Their Way To Droid X

Android 2.2 Updates Start Making Their Way To Droid X

Whilst Android 2.2 (Froyo) updates aren’t quite officially rolling out to handsets, some users are reporting that their Droid X handsets are silently starting to get the Android 2.2 OTA update, signalling an official launch cannot be too far off.

According to My Droid World, the Froyo update still leaves BLUR intact, doesn’t ship with the deafult Froyo homescreen, with the look and feel of the firmware not varying from the previous firmware.

Whilst some updates are starting to make their way to users, there is no indication of what the final Motorola OTA update will contain. We believe deployment can’t be too far off, keep an eye on your handsets for that all important notification.
