windows81Microsoft has confirmed its pricing scheme for Windows 8.1 ahead of its October 18th launch day. Pricing for the update remains similar to the Windows 8 release, with the exception that Microsoft will again offer a “full version software” edition alongside upgrade versions.

Windows 8.1 is a free update for Windows 8 owners. US customers can also buy Windows 8.1 for $119.99 and Windows 8.1 Pro for $199.99. Upgrading to Windows .1 Pro from a device with Windows 8.1 pre-installed will cost $99.99.
