Microsoft adCenter now powers Yahoo! listings

Microsoft adCenter now powers Yahoo! listings

As the Yahoo and Bing merger continues to gain ground, more of the services that each company offers are also combining forces.

According to the Microsoft Advertising blog, “beginning today, Microsoft Advertising adCenter powers the paid search advertisements on both Bing and Yahoo! owned and operated properties and publisher networks in the U.S. and Canadian markets”.

What this should mean, for advertisers, is a larger reach and only having to deal with a single account for both services. Microsoft promises to work to deliver a “quality transition” to its customers, and this should prove to increase revenue while decreasing frustration.

Over at Search Engine Land, they’ve also found some other helpful information about the transition:

Those advertisers who managed their Yahoo! Search Marketing accounts on a self-serve basis will now be exclusively supported by Microsoft. For account assistance, these advertisers should call (800) 518-5689, Monday through Friday between 4:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

If you are a YSM advertiser managing your account(s) through a Yahoo! account manager, your adCenter account support is now managed exclusively by your Yahoo! account team, which has been guiding you through the transition.
