Microsoft plans a Windows Store app for Windows 8.

Microsoft plans a Windows Store app for Windows 8.

Maybe you’ve heard about some leaked Microsoft documents that are floating around the Internet today.  These documents point to a few things, including a Microsoft competitor for the iPad, and apparently a “Windows Store” that purports to be an App Store competitor for Windows 8.

While the Windows Store bears quite a hefty resemblance to the App Store, there are a few changes. The store will, apparently, remember application settings across multiple machines. Users will also be able to browse the app store via any Windows 8 machine, and of course all applications will be inspected prior to being given real estate within the storefront.

Take a gander at the screenshots, and let’s hear what you have to say.  Hat tip goes to neowin for the images and deciphering.
