Available for pre-order today, Amazon now offers the Fire HD 8 and the Fire HD 10, which will begin shipping on September 30.

Both tablets are 7.7 mm thin, and offer a 16:10 aspect ratio display. There is a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor for more power, along with an microSD card slot that allows for up to 128GB storage.
Amazon tablets offer Amazon Prime video as well as books and access to Amazon Underground, the company’s gambit to get players of freemium games to play unlocked and truly free versions. It also includes the new Amazon On Deck, which will download recommended content overnight.
The Fire HD 8 is available for $149.99 and comes in black, magenta, blue and tangerine. The Fire HD 10 is priced at $229.99 and comes in black and white.
Amazon also offers a low-cost version of the new Fire tablet. The new Fire TV includes a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and a 7-inch IPS display, as well as expandable storage via microSD.
The new Fire tablet will be available for $49.99 — a six-pack option of $249.95 is also available, if you’re into that sort of thing. The tablet will begin shipping on September 30.
Children will also have their own option: the Fire Kids tablet offers everything the new Fire does, as well as a special safety bumper and two-year warranty.
The Fire Kids Edition also includes a year’s subscription to FreeTime unlimited, which offers unlimited access to more than 10,000 Amazon books, videos, apps and games.
That edition will cost $99.99.
