Vevo and Yahoo have long been friends — the two companies have had an agreement in place since 2012 to syndicate Vevo’s programming to Yahoo Music — but the pair has announced an extended partnership that will see its video content available via Yahoo Screen from today.
As a result, if you do happen to be a Yahoo Screen user living in the US or Canada, you can now access Vevo’s HD music content, live streaming events and other original content, Vevo said in a blog post today.
We already knew that the integration was on the way, but it’s good to hear confirmation that it’s now complete in the US, and ready to start rolling out more widely in the near future. Vevo said the content will be available to Yahoo Screen users in the UK, Germany, Spain, France and Italy “in the coming weeks”. It’ll also be available via the Yahoo Screen mobile app in the future too.
