It’s that time of Hijri (Islamic calendar) year where 20% of the planet go into fasting, or at least live in the ambience of the 30 day fasting rituals muslims around the world greet with congratulations and joy.
If you’re not familiar with it, according to Wikipedia Ramadan is “the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking and sexual activities from dawn until sunset”.
I for one was hoping to see a colorful Google Doodle this year, that with the push for Arabic content it has been propelling over the past year, sadly I didn’t. Instead I woke to up to Bing’s lovely homepage laced with their usual informative links and beautiful images for Bingers in the US and around the world to enjoy.
I remember hearing that innovation with relevance is the key to success, so today Bing will be my search engine of choice.
The Next Web Middle East would like to wish all it’s readers a Blessed Ramadan and delicious break-fasting meals.
