Who Wants to Be a Virtual Millionaire?

Who Wants to Be a Virtual Millionaire?

Who Wants to Be a MillionaireAs if the obsession with the real thing wasn’t enough, you can now play “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” on your iPod, iPhone, and iPad in Arabic. Download it from iTunes here.

The app launched by MBC Group mimics the network’s actual program featuring over 1,000 questions, testing knowledge and speed with all the excitement of the TV game show. Online fans can call on the classic lifelines, ask the audience, use their 50:50, and Phone A Friend to help climb their way up the money tree to the virtual million.

It’s $5 price tag makes it less appealing to myself, but the game has received a great response to date with over 100,000 players every month, and since it hasn’t been there for long, we expect this trend to start making more noise in the future. The app is a partnership with 2waytraffic international, the TV formats production and distribution arm of Sony Pictures Television (SPT).
