Android + Arabic = Ardroid

Android + Arabic = Ardroid

ardroidNope. Ardroid is not a new phone. It’s an Arabic website dedicated to the Arab Android community, the first of its kind.

Although Android is not that popular in the Middle East, the involvement of the Arabic speaking Internet community (2.9% to be exact) is extremely important, especially for an open-source platform like the Android. This should encourage Arabic speaking developers to localize and contribute with Arabic content to a soon-to-be ubiquitous platform powering mobile and other portable devices.

The website features reviews of Android products, applications and how-to’s.

It’s a small but highly appreciated step towards a more Arabic friendly digital environment. If you’re an Arabic speaker, we encourage you to read the introductory post on the website.
