VSCO’s new Open Studio in NYC is so popular it’s already booked up

Photographers in New York have a new studio to play in courtesy of VSCO, and it’s open to anyone.

The appropriately named VSCO Open Studio (see? open to anyone!) is the company’s way of giving back to the creative community. It’s also free to use.

Open Studio features a cyclorama wall, and “some gear for you to borrow” if you’ve left something behind.

For minimalists like me, the all-white decor is a dream come true. There’s a very plain studio environment, but also a kitchen and open office setting to toy around with.

You can schedule Open Studio time in two-hour blocks once per week — if you can get in. VSCO says it’s put the skids on requests for studio time right now due to demand, but that should change “in the near future.”
