I don’t know why you’d want to replace very delicious foods with a bottled beverage, but Soylent is very much a thing and has garnered quite a following since its introduction into the world several years ago. And now, the company is set to release a followup product that adds caffeine to the mix and sounds like a second grader helped name it.
Coffiest contains 150mg of caffeine, coffee flavoring, and the same nutritional ingredients in Soylent 2.0. It’s designed to help ease those who start their day with coffee move toward replacing their entire meal cycle with Soylent products, all without missing the bittersweet, chocolatey flavors. “It’s best enjoyed cold,” Soylent founder Rob Rhinehart specified to the New York Daily News.
A bottle of Coffiest contains nine grams of sugar, which is low compared to a Starbucks Frappucino but could be a bit much if you’re the type who takes their coffee black. It’s also got as much fiber as a serving of Metamucil, so altogether it sounds like a daily cleanse to keep you regular.
A monthly order of 12 bottles starts at $37, or you could just order Slimfast and better yet – eat a real meal – for about the same financial investment, but double the happy. But if you’re the kind to drink your feelings, I understand that too.
