Bing for iOS and Android will now find you nearby deals and better gas prices

Bing for iPhone and Android is getting a bit more contextual, and will now find you deals, nearby gas prices or let you scan barcodes to compare prices.

The price scanner tool lets you scan any item, which returns results from major retailers like Target, Amazon and Walmart. You can launch it by long-pressing the search icon in the Bing app, or using 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s/6s Plus.

GasBuddy is providing the real-time gas price comparisons in your area, and all you have to do is search for ‘gas’ or select gas from the ‘near me’ carousel.

Bing’s Deals feature is a bit more contextual than scanning barcodes or looking for low prices on gas. It takes your location into account, then returns nearby deals. The deals are presented in a card format, and give you redirect links to claim your offers.
