Amazon has opened a Spanish-language online store for physical products in Mexico, two years after it began selling its Kindle ebooks in the country.
The new store, which can be found at amazon.com.mx, has millions of products available in more categories than Amazon has featured at launch in any of its international markets.
Shoppers will be able to peruse a wide range of offerings from Amazon and many local businesses, in categories like consumer electronics, video games, sports and outdoors, kitchen and home, health and personal care, music, movies, TV series and books.
Orders above MXN 599 ($38) that are fulfilled by Amazon will be eligible for free shipping.
The company is also introducing its Kindle e-readers to Mexico, with the original starting at MXN 1,499 ($95). The Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Voyage will also be available.
