Following Uber tie-up, Spotify confirms BMW and MINI drivers can now listen in-car too

After letting you control music during your Uber rides, Spotify today announced it is also giving BMW and Mini drivers some added control for their music.

The integration will let iOS users access Spotify on all BMW cars with the BMW Apps feature, as well as Minis with MINI Connected Apps installed. Android users are out of luck, however.

Users can then use Spotify directly from their car’s control panel and control playback through their car’s own controls, and can use Spotify-specific features like its Radio and Browse tools.

To get started, users need only have Spotify installed on their phones, connect their devices and then choose Spotify from their car’s multimedia menu.

BMW and Mini aren’t  first though: Spotify showed up in Volvo cars last year.
