Ecommerce platform StackSocial rebrands as StackCommerce to focus on publishers

StackSocial, a startup offering “native commerce” solutions to Web publishers, has changed its name to StackCommerce. The company will continue to run its consumer-facing marketplace at StackSocial.com, thus reserving its former name for the first-party version of its platform.

StackCommerce works with partners to offer tailored deals, such as discounted apps, e-learning courses, gadgets and accessories, to their respective readers. For instance, the company powers our very own TNW Deals section.

Publishers can add three types of commerce to their sites: dedicated storefronts, embeddable offers and in-stream recommendations.
