Evernote now has more than 100 million users

Evernote, which launched in 2008, now has more than 100 million registered users, according to a blog post by the company today.

Of that 100 million people, the majority (35 million) are in the Asia-Pacific region, 31 million are in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, 27 million are in the US and Canada, and 8 million are in Latin America.

The company notes as a point of interest that to get to this impressive user base, it hasn’t employed much in the way of promotion. “In fact our total spend on advertising to date comes out to less than one cent per user,” it said.

While it’s clearly an impressive figure for any service, it’s worth noting that 100 million users isn’t necessarily the same thing as 100 million active users.
