Science-Inc, a tech advisory firm run by former Myspace chief Michael Jones, confirmed the deal today in a blog post. It said that Delicious will “be the cornerstone property in our burgeoning data content group” and that “the understanding of trending content is unparalleled” thanks to its billion daily links.
Loyal Delicious users apparently have no cause to fear the demise or closure of the service though. Science-Inc’s COO Mike Macadaan said that “in the near future, our focus will be ensuring that Delicious and its users continue to have a quality and uninterrupted experience.”
In a separate blog post, Delicous said users may see no difference in the service at all – except perhaps fewer ads.
