UberConference adds support for Google Drive, letting users share and edit documents during calls

Firespotter Labs has released an update to its UberConference service that includes integration with Google Drive. Users can now share multiple documents from their Drive account but also make edits within the service’s platform. Google Drive joins Evernote and Box as another file sharing service that has been tied into UberConference.

Company CEO Craig Walker said in a statement: “Many of our UberConference users are among the more than 120 million active Google Drive users out there, and we wanted to make it easy for them to collaborate using their Google Drive documents while on a conference call.”

When on a call, any participant can share a Google document by clicking on the “Share Files” button in the dashboard. Once a file has been shared, everyone can review and edit it on the spot, and receive a copy at the end of the call.
