Catchoom launches CraftAR to make it easier for businesses to create Augmented Reality content

Spanish image recognition and augmented reality company Catchoom launched a new tool today aimed at making it easier for businesses and brands to create augmented reality content.

Designed to take advantage of the growing interest in augmented reality technology from consumers and businesses alike, Catchoom’s CraftAR software promises to make it a doddle to quickly create additional content by offering tools to scan thousands of objects and manage digital content like videos and 3D models, once an object has been recognized.

The platform allows for digital assets to be linked to real world objects, all through its drag and drop interface, and naturally, it also provides full campaign and user interaction tracking and analysis – as well as the option to embed augmented reality experiences into a mobile app via its SDK and API.

The CraftAR image recognition and CraftAR ‘experience content management system’ are both being offered on a SaaS (software-as-a-service) basis, while larger businesses can choose to integrate the enterprise version into existing corporate customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, the company said.
